Position Summary:
As a Lead Equipment Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leveraging your expertise in engineering, electro-mechanical systems, mathematics, software, and computer sciences to identify, analyze, and resolve manufacturing equipment challenges within a cleanroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Line Maintenance and Process Engineering by troubleshooting issues and supporting wafer production.
  • Collaborate with vendors for the installation and training on new semiconductor machinery.
  • Enhance Production Equipment performance by focusing on throughput improvement and minimizing downtime through procurement, installation, upgrades, design modifications, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct thorough equipment failure analyses and monitor trends to implement performance enhancements.
  • Utilize troubleshooting techniques and hand tools to repair assigned equipment effectively.
  • Regularly communicate with Supervisors, Production teams, Engineering, and other departments regarding priorities and equipment status.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation and attention to detail in all relevant tasks.
  • Provide support to address unscheduled events and ensure efficient escalation processes.
  • Adhere to all safety and cleanroom protocols while conducting research.
  • Train maintenance technicians as necessary to improve response times.

Workplace Considerations:
This position requires on-site work and may involve overtime and on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent education, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical documents and manuals.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining operational and training documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, and cooling systems/refrigeration.
  • Experience in electronic troubleshooting of vacuum pumps, chambers, and plumbing gauging.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and capability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills with diverse audiences, including vendors, engineers, and operators.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications—Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is competitive and based on various factors, including work experience and job knowledge.
