Patient Access Representative 3 On-Site Full Time

The Patient Access Representative 3 (On-Site) oversees the registration and financial clearance activities that facilitate reimbursement for services rendered by the department. This role serves as a functional expert for department peers, ensuring seamless patient access and financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain, confirm, and enter demographic, financial, and clinical information necessary for financial clearance of scheduled patient accounts.
- Contact patients' families or physicians' offices to obtain missing insurance information.
- Verify insurance and confirm insurance eligibility of patient coverage benefits, notifying patient and referring physician in the event of failed eligibility.
- Collaborate with scheduling departments to identify add-on patients.
- Obtain necessary authorizations, pre-certifications, and referrals.
- Notify patients of liabilities prior to date of service and collect funds.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation in the system of record.
- Serve as a lead resource for lower-level Patient Access Representatives.
- Recommend new approaches to management for enhancing performance and productivity.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
