Job Title: Registered Nurse - Float Pool

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool team in Gilmore Amory, Mississippi.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate RN to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Float Pool RN, you will have the opportunity to work in various departments, including the operating room, and develop your skills in a variety of settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on assessment and evaluation.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient care and interventions.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing; required
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Mississippi; required
  • Certified with American Heart Association (AHA) in CPR ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in circulating nurse role; preferred
  • Completion of Nursing Orientation (3 to 6 months); required
  • Demonstrated competency of skills necessary to provide nursing care of patients ranging from neonate to geriatrics undergoing surgical interventions.
  • Must have knowledge and skills to operate computer software/hardware; required
  • Must complete RN orientation and approved unit specific checklist
  • Must maintain department requirements for continuing education and any specific unit requirements to provide appropriate age-specific care
  • Must have effective communication and teaching skills
