About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Telecom Construction Specialist to join our team at MasTec Communications Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a critical role in supporting the installation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects
  • Responsible for various manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites with use of hand tools like shovels, rakes, and picks
  • Work in outdoor utility construction sites
  • Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site each day
  • Build and maintain aerial and underground cable systems
  • Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
  • Learn and train to use various kinds of tools and equipment
Requirements
  • Safety is a top priority in our organization
  • Proven track record of completing work with a high level of quality
  • Ability to figure out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to work
  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
  • Desire to learn the telecom construction trade to advance your career
  • Ability to work in a team environment and enjoy getting your hands dirty
