About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer to join our Water Group in Pittsburgh, PA. As a key member of our team, you will work on design and construction management projects for water and wastewater systems, including new water lines, sewer linings, and lead service line replacements.

Responsibilities
  • Perform specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
  • Propose approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
  • Identify discrepancies in results.
  • Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
  • Independently perform all tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
  • 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • EIT.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PE.
  • Experience with construction management software tools, e-builder preferred.
  • Experience with scheduling software.
  • GIS/ESRI familiarity.
  • Experience with sewer or water lining or coatings, water or wastewater treatment plants.
