Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at WorkCare. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing clinical and administrative support to our clients in Boise, ID.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, management, and vendor partners
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements
  • Follow site safety guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Comply with governmental regulations and WorkCare policies regarding health and safety
  • Assist with patient intake forms and information
  • Conduct occupational medical surveillance testing, including audiometric testing, vision testing, and respirator evaluations
  • Administer first aid and supervised medical treatment within scope of practice
  • Assist Registered Nurse with emergency response
  • Provide concierge standby services, including first aid and AED
  • Perform clinic front-office and administrative work, including document creation and formatting
  • Stock rooms and assist with room turnover and cleaning
  • Assist with ordering and maintaining medical and office supplies
  • Assist with AED management, including maintenance checks and shipping
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of directly applicable experience
  • Knowledge and skills equivalent to those acquired through an accredited Medical Assistant education program
  • Certification through an accredited Medical Assistant education program
  • Current BLS certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • One to three years of experience in the healthcare field or a related area
  • Occupational health experience preferred
  • Certification in phlebotomy preferred

  • Ability to meet and exceed daily and weekly individual performance goals
  • Ability to work independently and assist other team members as needed
Work Environment:

The clinic is located within the protected/regulated area of a construction project site in Boise, ID. The work environment is mainly indoor, with moderate noise levels and good air quality.
