Position Summary:

The role involves providing essential administrative assistance to plant leadership and supervisory staff through data management and reception tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor daily attendance for all hourly union personnel and document points in accordance with the Attendance Policy and the schedule provided by Production Supervisors/Managers.
  • Oversee the Uniform, Parking, and Locker Program.
  • Assist the Finance Department by 1- attaching invoices in JDE to payment batches, 2- distributing electronic ebill invoices to AP processors, 3- scanning receiving reports and saving them into the shared folder.
  • Handle receptionist duties including visitor and vendor scheduling, calendar management, and expense tracking.
  • Support the HR Team with event organization, catering, new hire documentation, and various reporting/tracking tasks.
  • Create Purchase Orders for Sanitation, Production, and Office Supplies, including Amazon orders/deliveries.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in a food manufacturing setting.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Understanding of the facility's products, equipment, packaging, and capacity is crucial. Proficiency in mathematical concepts for necessary calculations and projections.
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal forms, utilizing electronic media, telephone, and direct interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and demonstrate proficiency in common software applications.
  • Strong reading, math, and computer skills are essential for fulfilling job requirements accurately. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain organization.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others to provide assistance as needed.

Physical Requirements:
This position regularly requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required tasks are necessary. Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds or more with assistance may be required. Additional physical demands may be necessary.

Work Environment:
Work schedules may include after-hours and weekends as needed. The role may involve working outdoors and in varying temperatures, including extreme heat, cold, and humidity. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration may occur. Personal protective equipment must be worn as required by established Company Safety standards. The role may also require work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights exceeding 18 feet for extended periods.
