Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

As a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist/Therapist at Madison Behavior Therapy (MBT), you will become an integral part of our dedicated family, embodying our core values in every interaction with colleagues and clients. Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- At least one year of experience working with pediatric populations
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience with children facing special needs or behavioral challenges
- Current State License in good standing
- Successful completion of background checks
- Membership in ASHA
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and document the communication abilities of pediatric patients through clinical observations, caregiver feedback, and standardized assessments.
- Design treatment plans that align with the family's values, the child's needs, and clinical best practices.
- Track and document progress towards established goals, addressing developmental areas including sensory-motor, cognitive, psychological, and behavioral aspects.
- Collaborate effectively with other professionals within the clinic, including ABA therapists, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists, and external specialists, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Adhere to ASHA guidelines and evidence-based practices in the evaluation and treatment of pediatric patients.
- Demonstrate a commitment to expanding clinical knowledge and enhancing clinical reasoning skills.
- Maintain ethical and professional standards within the MBT Clinics.
- Promote the services offered by MBT clinics to the wider community.
Required Training:
- CPR Certification
- HIPAA Training
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain on feet for up to 80% of the work shift
- Capability to lift up to 30 pounds
