As a Reliability Engineer at Tbwa Chiat/Day Inc, your role will involve supporting product development initiatives, establishing and implementing processes for continuous enhancement and risk mitigation, and leading root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives throughout the product development lifecycle to facilitate a seamless transition to production. Additionally, you will monitor field performance and analyze trends to propose enhancements to upstream teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesThis multifaceted role supports the development of advanced systems that integrate with various products. You will spearhead the reliability engineering efforts for core technologies, considering multiple applications and use cases.
Design & Development Support:- Assist design engineers in documenting requirements, evaluating redundancy, and ensuring proactive design reliability compliance with company standards.
- Review system diagrams, interface control documents, and schematics for compliance and accuracy.
- Collaborate with design engineers to identify risks early using tools such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and coordinate mitigation strategies.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the design requirements process to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Support milestone reviews and facilitate the production handoff process with quality assurance teams.
- Conduct predictive reliability assessments to estimate probabilities of failure and operational longevity using established specifications.
- Lead criticality evaluations and maintainability predictions.
- Perform reliability analysis using historical test data to generate performance reports.
- Develop and manage comprehensive test plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Oversee the qualification and traceability matrix alongside requirements documentation.
- Translate test requirements from analysis outputs and ensure compliance with program specifications.
- Lead root cause investigations for issues identified during testing phases.
- Publish qualification reports for stakeholders.
- Lead end-to-end plans from component receipt to deployment, ensuring all inspection and acceptance criteria are met.
- Develop and implement reliability processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Analyze telemetry data to identify trends and drive improvements in testing and risk analysis.
- Facilitate regular reviews to address key performance issues and propose corrective actions.
- Conduct risk management reviews to ensure timely implementation of corrective measures.
- 5-8 years of experience in reliability engineering or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics.
- Experience with advanced hardware systems and reliability engineering principles.
- Familiarity with predictive modeling and risk management methodologies.
- Eligible for security clearance.
- Advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with reliability analysis tools and methodologies.
- Proficiency in technical writing and documentation.
