Job Summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Pediatric Rehabilitation Service Line. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with children and adolescents to help them develop the skills they need to participate in daily activities and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and cognitive abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients, including splinting, wheelchair and equipment evaluations, and functional electrical stimulation.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate patient care coverage.
  • Manage resources and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient and effective delivery of occupational therapy services.
  • Communicate regularly with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care and address any concerns or questions.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
  • At least two years of experience in pediatric neurological and developmental rehabilitation, with a focus on splinting and other specialized areas.
