Job Title: Registered Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at Peninsula Community Health Services - Bremerton. As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive nutrition services to our patients with chronic diseases and those at risk of developing chronic diseases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans based on thorough assessments and knowledge of chronic diseases.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to communicate patients' nutritional status and provide essential information.
  • Work closely with the patient care team to address high-priority areas, including:
    • Adult and childhood obesity management
    • Pre-diabetic and diabetic diet management
    • Special medical populations, such as gluten intolerance, Celiac disease, food allergies, and bariatric care
    • General patient nutrition for children and adults
    • Infant feeding issues, including breastfeeding support and pump loan programs
  • Provide group nutrition education classes to promote healthy eating habits and disease prevention.
  • Participate in developing and implementing protocols for the nutrition component of clinical services.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), such as Athena.
  • Monitor and oversee relevant provider and care staff to ensure delivery of high-quality care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Registered Dietitian licensure in Washington State (required)
  • Board Certification (Commission on Dietetic Registration) and IBLCE & CDE Certifications (preferred)
  • Active CPR Certification (required)
  • Valid driver's license (required)

Starting Salary: $67,724.80 Annually

The ideal candidate will possess time-management and organizational skills, including being punctual, responsive, and efficient. They will perform the job with professionalism and good judgment.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

With multiple locations and settings, PCHS' work environment and physical demands vary greatly depending on the employee's role. Essential job functions include talking, hearing, seeing, smelling, sitting, and standing. The employee is frequently required to move around the facility, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
