Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of the Camber Corporation team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our apartment communities. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and guide a team of maintenance staff to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance, support, and direction to maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintenance Operations: Oversee the day-to-day maintenance activities, including repairs, renovations, and preventative maintenance, to ensure the community's physical condition and appearance are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Participate in the annual budget preparation process and develop and administer the capital and operating budgets for the property to ensure maximum return on investment.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, train, and develop maintenance staff, including housekeeping and landscape personnel, to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to residents, responding to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards, with a focus on safety and compliance.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; specialized courses in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and carpentry preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in maintenance supervisory roles, with a strong background in building maintenance and repair.
  • Skills: Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team; strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to read and interpret numerical information; proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Yardi preferred.
Work Environment

The Maintenance Supervisor works on-site at an apartment community, interacting with residents, vendors, and internal stakeholders on a regular basis. The position requires flexibility with availability, including working overtime and being on-call as needed.
