Mama's House is seeking a part-time House Mother to join our team. As a House Mother, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for women in crisis pregnancies.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily functioning of Mama's House, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
- Lead devotion and provide spiritual guidance to residents.
- Provide transportation for residents, utilizing our company van.
- Take responsibility for the welfare and well-being of residents, aiming to create a caring, safe, and harmonious environment.
- Record daily communication reports on each resident.
- Assume a maternal influence, being approachable and open to residents' needs.
- Delegate tasks with residents to maintain a clean and organized living space.
- Assist residents with social correctness, etiquette, and professional courtesies.
- Respond to emergencies and call for medical assistance as needed.
- Implement policies and guidelines outlined in the Resident Handbook.
- Interface with and resolve conflicts between residents.
- Develop and encourage residents to support one another.
- Teach basic life skills, including cooking, housekeeping, and caring for babies.
- Monitor schedules to ensure adherence to extra-curricular activities.
- Understand the importance of observation, keeping in contact with residents and being aware of their needs.
- Be familiar with Mama's House policies and procedures.
- Complete tasks assigned by Management.
- Mature Christian actively living out their faith.
- Social Services experience.
- Valid Driver's License and insurance.
- Certifications for CPR and First Aid.
- Computer Literate.
- Drug Free.
- Willingness to submit to random drug testing.
- Proof of last TB Test.
Mama's House is a non-profit home providing shelter for women in crisis pregnancies. We are a Christian organization, and we require our staff to be mature Christians actively living out their faith.
