Job Summary

Northern Arizona University is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our research staff, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and completing analysis of vaccine trials and other animal experiments in our ABSL3 Lab.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge, skills, and abilities obtained in pursuit of an MS degree to plan, design, and complete analysis of vaccine trials and other animal experiments.
  • Coordinate and monitor the execution of research activities, including training and management of assistant ABSL3 manager.
  • Support data collection, analysis, and interpretation, generating own data as well as a large group of undergraduate, graduate, and staff researchers.
  • Manage lab functions, including ordering, managing IACUC, IBC, and other regulatory paperwork and annual inspection.
  • Develop plans for animal experiments, ensuring efficient use of resources and training of staff/students in animal husbandry and procedures.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and techniques of vertebrate animal work.
  • Advanced knowledge of research methods, protocols, data collection, and analysis.
  • Advanced technical understanding and proficiency related to conducting relevant research procedures in ABSL3 environment.
