Key Responsibilities- Registration and Scheduling: Verify patient information, collect demographic and insurance data, and schedule appointments in accordance with established guidelines.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills to patients, families, and healthcare staff, ensuring a courteous and respectful experience.
- Insurance and Billing: Verify insurance benefits, calculate patient responsibility, and communicate payment expectations to patients.
- Financial Assistance: Identify patients in need of financial assistance and refer them to the Financial Advocate for coordination and support.
- Visit Closure: Perform visit closure procedures, including checking out patients, collecting additional patient responsibility, and providing necessary documents.
- Administrative Support: Assist with new caregiver onboarding, maintain accurate records, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience: Typically requires 1 year of experience in customer service or clerical/office experience, including answering phones and assisting customers.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to identify and understand issues, effective communication skills, critical thinking, and mathematical aptitude.
