Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets patients and visitors, responds to routine requests for information, and answers telephone calls.
  • Registers patients, obtains demographic and insurance information, and verifies insurance coverage.
  • Schedules patient appointments, coordinates cancellations and reschedules, and provides accurate information regarding test preparations and patient instructions.
  • Updates insurance and patient information, applies knowledge of government and third-party payer requirements, and identifies and resolves problems regarding registration.
  • Monitors patient flow, offers assistance, and performs visit closure, including checking out patients and scheduling follow-up appointments.

Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • No experience required, but excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and electronic mail.
