Essential Qualifications:

  1. Must be a citizen of the United States; non-citizens may only be considered when qualified citizens are unavailable.
  2. Possession of a Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  3. A current, unrestricted medical license to practice.
  4. Completion of residency training in an accredited core specialty program.
  5. Fluency in both spoken and written English.

Additional Credentials: Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine along with Rheumatology is required.

Physical Demands: Candidates must meet the physical standards necessary for the role. A physical examination is mandatory prior to placement. This position is subject to drug testing. Responsibilities include lifting weights between 15-44 pounds, pushing for approximately 2 hours, reaching overhead, and engaging in activities that require the use of both hands, as well as walking and standing for 3-5 hours and kneeling.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
  2. Diagnose and manage diseases associated with Rheumatologic disorders.
  3. Oversee ongoing care for patients with various Rheumatologic conditions.
  4. Conduct inpatient Rheumatology consultations and follow-ups.
  5. Perform outpatient Rheumatology consultations and follow-ups.
  6. Execute Rheumatology-related procedures.
  7. Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests.
  8. Engage in performance improvement initiatives and attend relevant meetings.
  9. Manage patients requiring biologic therapies and IV bisphosphonates.
  10. Review patient no-shows and follow up on abnormal laboratory results.
