Job Summary

The State of California is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Prison Industries Superintendent II to join our team at Folsom State Prison. As a key member of our correctional facility management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of a dental laboratory within the prison.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the dental laboratory, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead a team of dental laboratory technicians and provide guidance and support to ensure the highest quality of work.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity within the laboratory.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Monitor and control laboratory supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal use and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education equivalent to completion of graduation from college, assertiveness, and experience in a correctional institution.
  • Certification as a dental laboratory technician by the National Board for Certification; completion of a dental technology program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation; management or supervisory experience in a dental laboratory within a correctional facility; practical experience performing the tasks of a dental laboratory technician in one or more specialties.
