The Seafood Specialist at The Fish Market plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service while working in a dynamic environment. This position involves preparing and presenting a variety of seafood products for our customers, ensuring that all offerings meet our high standards of quality and freshness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling both fresh and frozen seafood products to meet daily sales requirements.
- Delivering outstanding customer service by welcoming guests and addressing their inquiries.
- Preparing and cutting seafood, including whole fish, for display and sale.
- Assisting customers with product information to aid in their purchasing decisions.
- Upholding The Fish Market's standards for product freshness, proper rotation, and cleanliness.
- Keeping current with daily menu updates and general product knowledge.
Requirements:
- Possession of a valid California Food Handler's card.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Willingness to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
- A proactive approach and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced setting.
