About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Site Security Specialist. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of safety and security processes, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical direction to the site on safety and security processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Manage and operate site access control systems, including badge and key control programs.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of safety and security systems, including fire detection, fire suppression, and emergency alarm systems.
  • Manage contract security vendors and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate testing, inspection, and maintenance of safety and security systems.
  • Manage improvements and upgrades to security and safety systems, including commissioning and decommissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage and negotiate vendor support contracts for safety and security systems.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute emergency and evacuation drills, capturing learnings and implementing continuous improvements.
  • Create and implement site security and safety programs.
  • Coordinate first aid, CPR, and AED training for site personnel.
  • Serve as site crisis response coordinator and severe weather monitoring lead.
  • Manage site pest control program and contracts.
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physical sciences, or life sciences field of study from an accredited university or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a safety professional, with proven knowledge of state, federal, and local safety regulations.
  • Emergency management and planning knowledge and experience.
  • Good communication and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, including process safety management (PSM), is preferred.
  • Strong skills in root cause analysis for analyzing accidents and process incidents are preferred.
  • NICET Level I/II Fire Alarm Certification is a plus.
  • Pharmaceutical experience is a plus.
