Clinical Laboratory Scientist

About the Role:
As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the Microbiology Division, you will provide advanced technical expertise in the most complex technical areas of the lab. Your responsibilities will include developing procedures and test criteria, collecting and extrapolating data, assisting in lab research and design efforts, and overseeing quality assurance, regulatory, compliance, and performance improvement activities in a specialized area of the lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procedures and test criteria for complex laboratory tests
- Collect and analyze data to support lab research and design efforts
- Oversee quality assurance, regulatory, compliance, and performance improvement activities in the lab
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other lab personnel
- Participate in teaching and serve as a technical resource for the division
Requirements:
- Four or more years of applicable experience
- Current CA CLS License
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years of experience in coordinating or overseeing quality assurance and regulatory compliance operations in a Laboratory
