The Clinical Laboratory Scientist PD is a Licensed Medical Technologist responsible for performing laboratory testing on patient samples. This role involves the preanalytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases, with a focus on quality control, equipment maintenance, and reporting.
Responsibilities- Perform laboratory testing on patient samples, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Conduct quality control and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide accurate and timely test results.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advancements in laboratory science.
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or related field.
- Minimum six months of Clinical Laboratory experience, with two years preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with proficiency in computer applications.
- Licensed Clinical Lab Scientist-CA (CLS) or Limited Licensed CLS.
- Preferred: American Society of Clinical Pathology certification.
This role requires a sedentary energy level, with occasional lifting and carrying of objects up to 15 pounds. The work environment involves exposure to airborne communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and extreme temperatures.
