About the Unit:
The Vascular-Thoracic unit, a highly specialized 23-bed unit, provides high-acuity care to intensive patients post vascular and thoracic surgery. Nurses care for patients who have undergone carotid surgery, lower extremity bypass, aneurysm repairs, arterial lines, AKOS, and chest tubes. New Graduate Nurses are welcome.
Job Responsibilities:
The Vascular Thoracic nurse assesses and identifies patient needs, implementing appropriate interventions. The nurse establishes and maintains a plan for delivering nursing care, ensuring interventions and activities resolve problems. The nurse performs technical aspects of care competently, utilizing strong critical thinking skills. The nurse acts as a family and patient resource, guiding them through the patient's healthcare journey.
Requirements:
Active Kentucky License, BCLS, and ACLS are required. Baptist Health is an employer.
