About the Role

We are seeking a skilled RN - Lactation Educator to join our team at Providence St. Peter Hospital. As a key member of our Labor and Delivery department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement feeding plans to address the nutritional needs of infants, including breastfeeding support, breast pumping support, and supplementation as needed.
  • Provide lactation support and education to inpatients and outpatients, promoting healthy feeding practices and addressing any concerns or challenges.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for our patients and their families.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in lactation and infant nutrition, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Washington Registered Nurse License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
  • 2 years experience providing lactation care in a Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, or SCN department or in an outpatient mother baby clinical setting
