Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lactation Educator to join our team at Providence St. Peter Hospital. As a Lactation Educator, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect care for infants and women in our inpatient and outpatient clinic settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement feeding plans to address the nutritional needs of infants, including breastfeeding support, breast pumping support, and supplementation as needed.
  • Provide lactation support and education to inpatients and outpatients, both in the clinic setting and after discharge.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care for mothers and infants.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in lactation and maternal health.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Washington Registered Nurse License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
  • 2 years of experience providing lactation care in a Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, or SCN department or in an outpatient mother baby clinical setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
