Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lactation Consultant and Nursing Educator to join our team at Providence St. Peter Hospital. As a key member of our Labor and Delivery department, you will play a vital role in providing expert lactation support and education to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized lactation plans to address the unique needs of each patient
  • Provide comprehensive lactation education and support to patients and families, including breastfeeding support, breast pumping support, and supplementation as needed
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and support for our patients
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in lactation and breastfeeding
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of lactation education programs and materials
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Washington Registered Nurse License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
  • 2 years experience providing lactation care in a Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, or SCN department or in an outpatient mother baby clinical setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
