Key Responsibilities
  • Review and become familiar with project technical requirements, including prime contracts, applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Monitor and inspect project and construction execution through regular surveillance, inspection, and/or formal planned audits as directed.
  • Supervise quality personnel who perform audit, examination, inspection, surveillance, and/or testing activities in accordance with the project quality program.
  • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.
  • Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff.
Requirements
  • Accredited two (2) or three (3) year Technical or Engineering Technology diploma or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years if there is no accreditation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification by a recognized authority (i.e. ASNT, AWS, API, NACE) is preferred.
  • Eight (8) years of quality assurance/quality control work experience with at least one of those years having supervision experience.
  • Intermediate or expert computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the basic or intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to speak/read multiple languages.
