Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Expert to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in welding and metal fabrication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual welding units and equipment to join metal edges and form specified depth of fusion and bead.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow standard safety practices and regulations.
  • Repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes.
  • Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in a fixture.
  • Perform cross-training and knowledge share with peers.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as required/assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months or more prior MIG welding experience preferred.
  • Certification preferred, not required.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Demonstrates shop math skills.
  • Can interpret blueprints, specifications, production layouts, technical drawings, work orders, instructions, etc.
