Optum Pharmacy Technician Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with patients over the phone to offer and conduct medication adherence consultation services
  • Obtain information and perform data entry of adherence barriers, allergy history, medical conditions, and other pertinent member-related information
  • Provide information to qualified patients about plan services and potential benefits and direct them to appropriate resources
  • Maintain performance standards, including weekly/monthly calls, production metrics, and quality assurance

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • Active Pharmacy Technician License/Certificate as required by the state of residence
  • 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in medication adherence
  • Previous Call Center experience
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Multi-lingual (Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Russian, Vietnamese preferred)
