Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Chief Information Officer, the IT Systems Engineer will fulfill computer and software system requirements by identifying and analyzing system challenges; designing and evaluating standards and solutions.

The role involves monitoring and managing current system usage while proposing updates, enhancements, and system solutions based on thorough analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Define application issues by collaborating with users and assessing procedures and processes.
2. Oversee and maintain network infrastructure.
3. Develop solutions by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow strategies.
4. Control solutions by establishing specifications and coordinating production with vendors.
5. Validate outcomes through program testing.
6. Ensure operational efficiency by training user personnel and providing ongoing support.
7. Manage user databases effectively.
8. Provide reference materials by documenting processes.
9. Enhance job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, and participation in relevant organizations.
10. Research emerging technologies to determine their potential for improving organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
11. Prepare cost-benefit analyses to assist management in evaluating the financial viability of IT upgrades.
12. Collaborate with Technical Support Specialists to provide comprehensive support.
13. Innovate ways to adapt existing IT systems to meet evolving needs.
14. Design and develop new systems by selecting and configuring appropriate hardware and software.
15. Oversee the installation and configuration of new systems to tailor them for organizational use.
16. Conduct tests to ensure systems function as intended.
17. Train end users and create instructional manuals as necessary.
18. Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting Mac OS and iOS applications.
- Proven background in software architecture, design, documentation, testing, maintenance, and/or application development.
- Networking experience is advantageous, particularly with Meraki.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and programming languages.
