Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare professionals with clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering medications
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests, such as blood draws and urinalyses
  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensure proper equipment sterilization, and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide excellent patient care
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, processing medical records, and handling patient inquiries
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assisting program preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience as a medical assistant; prior experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Certification as a medical assistant (CMA) or registered medical assistant (RMA)
