We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at OnPoint Medical Group. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Greeting Patients: Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner, either in person or over the phone.
- Pre-Visit Planning: Complete pre-visit planning, including contacting patients for updated insurance information, verifying patient records, and updating patient files.
- Registration and Verification: Register new patients and verify patient information for existing patients.
- Financial Transactions: Collect co-pays and payments as needed.
- Scheduling and Liaison: Answer inbound calls to schedule patients and act as a liaison to clinical staff for patient questions.
- Administrative Duties: Complete administrative tasks to ensure patient visits are smooth, billing is processed in a timely manner, and the front office remains organized.
- Scheduling Outbound Calls: Complete outbound calls to patients to schedule appointments.
- Service Standards: Perform duties to achieve or exceed established service standards.
- Confidentiality and HIPAA: Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
- Attendance and Communication: Be punctual and regular in attendance, and follow instructions and respond to management direction.
- Task Completion: Ability to complete individual assigned tasks as well as contribute to the success of the clinic.
- Interpersonal Skills: Works well with people and can display empathy appropriately.
- Active Listening: Ability to actively listen and respond appropriately.
- Education: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency.
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills required.
- Education: Some college, preferably in a medical, business, or accounting field.
- Customer Service Experience: Customer service experience preferred.
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Occasional Demands: Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Lifting: Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 25 pounds.
- Vision: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
