Job Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join our dynamic team in Minnesota. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of students with visual impairments and their families.

About the Position
  • This is a contract position that runs from ASAP to the end of the school year.
  • The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students and MN Teaching Certification in Visual Education.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing individualized educational plans, adapting instructional materials, and supporting students in their academic, social, and emotional development. You will also provide training and support to teachers, staff, and families on strategies for working with students with visual impairments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess students' visual, academic, and functional needs to develop appropriate educational goals and accommodations.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
  • Teach students the use of assistive technologies, braille, and other tools to support independent learning.
