Job Overview: Police Supervisor Professional

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Police Supervisor Professional to join our team at the College of the Holy Cross. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

As a Police Supervisor Professional, you will be responsible for supervising police officers and other department employees in the enforcement of local, state, and federal laws and college policies. You will also review police documentation, receive compliments and complaints from community members, motivate and mentor police officers, and supervise patrol officers in the field. Additionally, you will conduct roll call briefings, make notifications as necessary, interpret departmental policies and procedures, and make recommendations for commendations and performance evaluations. Other duties may include performing patrol duties, responding to calls for service, making arrests, and testifying in court as required. Our ideal candidate will have at least three years of law enforcement experience, be immediately eligible for Special State Police Officer certification from the Massachusetts State Police, and possess a current and valid Massachusetts Class D motor vehicle operator's license. They should also demonstrate community policing principles, exercise sound judgment, maintain calm manner in stressful situations, and make decisions quickly in emergency/dangerous situations. Furthermore, they should be able to follow and provide effective oral and written instructions, prepare written reports of investigations, maintain accurate records, and analyze data interface professionally with the public.
