Job Summary:
Dessert Holdings Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Process Lead to join our team. As a Process Lead, you will be responsible for providing safety and servant-based leadership to achieve breakthrough production results on a specific production line/area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive out top losses across a 24-hour production multiple shift line/area through ownership of data integrity and process centerlines.
- Work with the Line Centric Team to leverage the process discipline of continuous improvement tools.
- Support the Operation Line Leader in building technical capability for the assigned operating teams, particularly through mastery of process control.
- Learn and understand related Quality Management Systems, including SQF, HACCP, and GMP, to ensure safety and quality of employees and products.
- Assure food safety and quality for all products.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Build capability of the line team to understand losses through data.
- Identify and address safety risks related to top stops (equipment interaction) and changeover activities.
- Lead the health of the Process Control System (PCL) by identifying centerline targets, documenting standards, and coaching the Line Team and technicians through execution, problem-solving, and change management.
- Ensure the line/system is meeting product attributes and process parameters that drive them.
- Support the development and lead the execution of the 90-Day improvement plan to deliver the glidepath through loss elimination.
- Own the Centerline Process and library for all equipment within the PCL team and be responsible for coaching and developing operators in the use of CL within the team.
- Apply advanced data analysis tools to expose and eliminate losses.
- Lead the changeover management system by closing the gap against specific metrics (Human and Food Safety, MTBF, overuse, etc.), timeliness, and success of changeovers.
- Support the development and lead the execution of the 90-Day improvement plan to deliver the glidepath through loss elimination.
- Understand the management of Quality Systems and be familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices to ensure safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with a strong preference for Engineering degrees.
- 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Flexible schedule required.
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends if necessary.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic PC skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of ovens, bakery equipment, and packaging equipment.
- Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak English/Spanish.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Active participation on the production floor expected.
- Use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to stand, reach, stoop, kneel, or bend.
- Lift up to 75 pounds, with assistance required if limit is exceeded.
