Position: Electrical Controls Technician
Location: Murfreesboro, TN


In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our production packaging and processing operations, ensuring optimal performance during startup, changeover, and shutdown of equipment.


Shift Details:
Currently hiring for 3rd shift

8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday

10:50 PM to 7:20 AM

Flexibility to work overtime and various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Our plant operates 24/7

Compensation:
Up to $40.62 per hour

Starting pay ranges from $35.54 to $36.57 per hour

Night shift differential of $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 11 PM and 7 AM

Afternoon shift differential of $0.50 per hour for hours worked between 3 PM and 11 PM

Benefits:
15 days (120 hours) of vacation annually and 11 paid holidays

We produce a variety of items including yogurt, Toaster Strudel, and Pillsbury canned dough products.


Your Daily Responsibilities:

- Produce high-quality food products enjoyed nationwide

- Utilize advanced technology in a state-of-the-art facility

- Collaborate with experienced operators eager to share their knowledge

- Challenge yourself to complete tasks accurately while acquiring valuable skills

- Adhere to safety protocols including LOTO and total energy isolation in a clean, climate-controlled environment

- Read and update electrical and control schematics, piping, and instrumentation diagrams

- Provide technical support for equipment troubleshooting and modifications

- Conduct preventative electrical maintenance

- Engage in Root Cause Analysis initiatives

- Participate in Continuous Improvement projects to enhance performance

- Assist in training new team members

Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED

- Technical school diploma with 2 years of relevant experience preferred

- Familiarity with Rockwell and Allen Bradley components is a plus

- Electrical/Controls experience should include plant power distribution and equipment controls

- Licensed Journeyman status preferred

- Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Capable of performing physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, and climbing

- Must be able to work at heights using ladders and lifts

- Willingness to wear protective gear as required

- Ability to work in various environmental conditions

- Understanding of electrical safety protocols

- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics

- Advanced knowledge of PLCs and related hardware components

- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment issues
