Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to electrical systems, including AC/DC stator rotor and armature winding, testing panels, and inspecting electromechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Winding machines and testing panels
- Inspecting electromechanical equipment for damage and electrical malfunction
- Testing conditions of windings per standards
- Cleaning, checking, filing, and drifting core as necessary
- Testing and inserting coils
- Maintaining dimensions given on data sheets
- Placing leads, soldering or brazing connections
- Removing or installing revolving field coils
- Documenting all relevant data specific to units, electro-magnetics, characteristics, operation condition, existing damage or intended service
- Filling out paperwork completely and legibly
- Preparing all reusable parts for rewinding
- Inspecting renewed parts for serviceability
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in the field
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings
- Experience using calipers and reading micrometers
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Willingness to work overtime
