Job Title: Janitorial Area Manager

The Heritage Building Maintenance Area Manager is responsible for overseeing daily janitorial operations for a specific area or region. This role involves managing staff, ensuring work orders from clients and standard janitorial duties in multiple buildings are completed each day. The Area Manager is also expected to supervise team members, provide adequate training and support to operations teams, and maintain a high level of quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate daily janitorial operations, including staff supervision and training.
  • Ensure timely completion of work orders and standard janitorial duties in multiple buildings.
  • Provide support and guidance to team members, including conducting audits and reporting on human resource and clock-in/clock-out issues.
  • Drive company vehicles to and from building locations to perform janitorial service audits and manage the work of team members.
  • Conduct annual employee reviews and attend required staff planning meetings.
  • Audit employee schedules for accuracy and determine the types of equipment to be used in performing work.
  • Deliver and collect supplies as needed for various buildings and handle disciplinary actions for employees or conduct personnel meetings with the support of HR.
  • Support and back up the assigned assistant area manager/trainer in the event of an absence.
Requirements:
  • 12-18 months experience in the janitorial industry is required.
  • 12-18 months supervisory/management experience of a team with at least 15+ individuals reporting.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation, as well as a clean driving record.
  • Must be 18 or older.
  • A background check will be necessary on our end, you will be required to submit to a background check.
Working Environment:

The work is performed in an office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities.

Physical Demands:

The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing less than fifty pounds.

Additional Details:

Direct Deposit Pay every other Friday. Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance and 401K with a company match available for full time employees working 30+ hours per week. Paid Holidays after 90 days for full time employees working 30+ hours per week. PTO accumulation for full time employees working 30+ hours per week.
