Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Senseonics Incorporated. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the design and development of Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) and micro-controller based embedded systems, specifically for battery powered medical devices.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in all phases of development across multiple projects, ensuring products are produced safely, efficaciously, and within established time frames.
- Coordinate with project teams to create and release Product Requirements, Design Specifications, and Design Descriptions.
- Identify and resolve issues, communicate status to peers and management, and provide technical leadership to other engineers.
- Develop test protocols, reports, and conduct failure modes effects analysis, and prepare technical reports and statistical analysis.
- Establish engineering test capabilities and maintain test equipment, and contribute to intellectual property portfolio through invention records and patent disclosures.
- Design system architecture for sensor interface and connectivity to wearable and mobile devices, and develop and deploy sensor test systems for characterizing sensor functionality.
- BS with 12+ years, MS with 10+ years, or Ph.D. with 8+ years in Electrical Engineering.
- Extensive experience in mixed signal schematic capture, PCB design, and fabrication, and proficiency in using industry-grade schematic, simulation, layout, and CAD software tools.
- Working knowledge of RFID/NFC, Bluetooth, and battery embedded technologies, and data analysis proficiency with tools such as Excel, MATLAB, or Minitab.
- Ability to write test scripts or software in languages such as C/C++, MATLAB, or Python, and ability to design, build, and test manufacturing test fixtures.
