Position: Mechanical Design Engineer

The organization is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to their OEM Design division. The selected candidate will collaborate with the engineering team focused on HVAC and Cooling solutions for the Data Center sector. Ideal candidates will possess experience in designing commercial HVAC mechanical OEM equipment specifically for cooling critical data center environments.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and development for Mechanical and Electromechanical products and systems related to industrial and commercial-grade OEM equipment.
  • Perform design validations through prototypes and testing methodologies.
  • Specify and identify mechanical and electro-mechanical components as necessary.
  • Design machinery with a focus on manufacturability and integration.
  • Work within an Engineer to Order / Make to Order framework for OEM products.
  • Flexible work arrangement: 2 days remote and 3 days onsite.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; a Mechanical Engineering background is advantageous.
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in CAD Modeling tools such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Revit.
  • Experience with equipment sizing and calculations.
  • Background in a manufacturing setting; OEM experience is highly valued.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with commercial cooling systems, chiller systems, and air conditioning units for computer rooms.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project.
  • Previous military experience is a significant advantage, particularly in electrical or mechanical roles.
