Position Overview:
As an Availability Improvement Specialist at Zealogics, you will take the lead in enhancing system availability through a structured approach to data analysis and engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the initiative to enhance system availability by gathering and analyzing raw data from the field, identifying the root causes of availability losses, and implementing targeted improvements.
- Design and develop a robust database structure for availability data that adheres to semi-standard protocols, ensuring efficient data collection, transformation, analysis, and regular reporting to stakeholders.
- Identify critical risk factors, establish specific requirements, and propose engineering solutions aimed at minimizing system downtime, including reducing diagnostic times to expedite root cause analysis and optimizing recovery sequences.
- Deliver training sessions on availability best practices to a diverse range of engineering teams through various communication methods, including discussions, emails, and formal knowledge transfer sessions.
- Engage in the review of system design concepts and architectural frameworks, contributing to specifications and engineering methodologies for next-generation product development.
Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering is preferred, with a solid grounding in physics and charged particle physics or a related engineering discipline. A minimum of two years of experience in technical development roles is required. Experience in semiconductor equipment or integrated circuit manufacturing is advantageous, along with familiarity with high-resolution imaging systems.

- Proficient understanding of high-vacuum systems.
- Demonstrated ability to create and manage project plans, ensuring timely and quality deliverables.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey progress and status updates to management and clients.
- Customer-centric approach with a commitment to satisfaction through prioritization, quality, and professionalism.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting workloads, working independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to foster cooperative relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Willingness to take ownership of integrated systems performance and support the entire product lifecycle.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus, as is experience with statistical process control (SPC).
