Job Title: Automation Engineer General

Altair is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer General to join our team in Louisville, KY. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to improve our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop automation systems using Vis Plant monitoring software
  • Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other automation problems
  • Update program backups for automation
  • Program new installations of Body tooling and conveyor systems
  • Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements
  • Coordinate automation campaigns
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls (RSLogix)
  • Electrical Background (electrician or technician)
  • Related experience
  • Allen Bradley Panel View use/programming AB Servo and AB VFD drives
  • Familiarity with VFD's, Armor starts, encoders, network/Ethernet controls
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
