About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Supervisor to join our team at Energy Transfer. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing a team of contract and full-time employees working on various pipeline and storage related construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily activities, roles, and responsibilities of contract construction inspectors to ensure successful project completion and achievement of objectives.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with relevant standards, procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Effectively manage the bid process, selection of contractors, and use of service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain productive and cooperative working relationships with other departments to meet project requirements.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for this role.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and facilities/equipment in a crude oil pipeline/storage environment.
  • Must be team-oriented, self-motivated, with a strong commitment to safety, operational, and environmental policies.
  • Ensure regular and effective safety, regulatory, and industry practice training for Construction Team.
  • Good written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective use of computers/software.
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical, business, and entrepreneurial skills.
Preferred Skills
  • 5 years construction industry experience preferred.
  • 5 years natural gas plant/pipeline industry and/or oil/gas industry experience.
  • Experience working with pressure vessels and equipment.
Working Conditions

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Driving, walking, and standing frequently.
  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions, and some heavy lifting.
  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
