Geotechnical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Universal Engineering Sciences. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for working on geotechnical-related projects, including the coordination and execution of geotechnical field explorations, laboratory testing, and evaluation of field and laboratory test data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare various geotechnical testing reports for clients
  • Analyze and review testing reports for commercial, industrial, retail, government, and residential projects
  • Project coordination and project management of geotechnical work
  • Responsible for managing geotechnical projects through their lifecycle
  • Assist project professionals with project execution, proposal, and report preparation
  • Coordinate required testing/sampling with drill crews and assist with field activities as necessary
  • Interpret field data and assign laboratory testing
  • Communicate results of field and laboratory testing, and geotechnical recommendations, to clients
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience as a Professional Engineer
  • Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) for the State of Texas
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in civil engineering is required; Master's in civil engineering is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid Texas driver license
