Job Title: Principal Data Modeler

Job Summary:

Fidelity Investments is seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Modeler to join our Customer Data and Marketing Technology group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing large-scale data processing systems for analytical and operational use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design appropriate data models that align with business needs.
  • Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data marts to support business intelligence and analytics.
  • Design and implement data integration patterns, relational and NoSQL databases, and event-driven architecture.
  • Work with business, technology, and architecture teams to design and develop next-generation data platforms using traditional and cloud technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of data governance standards, tools, and best practices for enterprise data models.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a technology-related field (e.g., engineering, computer science).
  • 9+ years of data modeling experience, with expertise in data modeling principles, methods, and tools.
  • Experience with data modeling tools such as Power Designer and expertise in dimensional modeling, data vault modeling, and data warehousing.
  • Strong execution skills in a fast-paced environment using agile methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate and partner with business domain leads, data scientists, product owners, and other functional leads to deliver world-class data solutions.
