Overview

As a Hydrology and Infrastructure Engineer at Civil and Environmental Consultants, you will engage in comprehensive hydrologic and hydraulic evaluations, dam safety evaluations, design compliance, and rehabilitation, as well as the design of water utility infrastructure and stormwater management systems. Your role will also encompass stream restoration initiatives and conducting thorough floodplain and drainage assessments. You will execute hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, perform engineering calculations, and generate detailed engineering drawings for a diverse range of water resource projects.

Your responsibilities will include collaborating with clients, contractors, and municipal officials, influencing the project lifecycle from initial concepts and design stages through regulatory reviews, bidding processes, and construction phases.

Qualifications
  • B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering;
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in water resource projects, particularly in hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, and dam safety engineering;
  • Proficiency in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D;
  • Experience in producing engineering drawings;
  • Strong writing skills and ability to prepare technical reports;
  • Familiarity with Unsteady Flow and 2D Hydraulic Modeling is preferred but not mandatory.
