Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Proliance Surgeons, Inc. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing direct patient care, including arranging exam rooms, maintaining supplies, and preparing laboratory specimens.
  • Support clinical procedures, such as preparing patient exam areas, holding patients in position, and handing instruments to providers.
  • Document patient information, including vital signs, medical history, and test results.
  • Perform phone triage, post-op calls, and respond to voicemail messages in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate care and diagnostic testing at other facilities as indicated by physicians.
  • Assist providers in e-scribing, maintaining medication lists, and communicating with referring doctors.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred.
  • Current Washington State Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a medical office preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medications.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills, including data entry.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Impeccable integrity.
  • Great interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience, compassion, empathy, and the ability to work well with all types of people.
Work Environment

The work may be performed in an office and clinical environment. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is required to sit for long periods of time, stand and walk, bend and stretch. Use of telephone and computer is required. Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds. May require working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
