Job Title: Customer Service Representative

GEDNEY FOODS PRODUCT, LLC

Job Summary:

The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging reports, and placing billing and collection calls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter sales orders into SAGE
  • Confirm sales orders and notify customers of shipping status
  • Schedule truck pickups and shipments
  • Investigate customer claims of shortages
  • Enter ASN (Advance Ship Notices) in SPS Commerce
  • Receive shipments from Mexico into SAGE for all 3 locations
  • Answer customer service calls and direct consumers to product information
  • Send sample requests for the Sun Valley location
  • Research unauthorized deductions and contact brokers for back-up
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve client billing issues
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
  • Maintain accurate customer records
  • Follow up on client invoices via email or collection calls
  • Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant customer service experience
  • Proficiency in billing and collection
  • Foundational knowledge in aging reports
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A champion of safety and integrity

Working Environment:

The work environment is a typical office setting with frequent interruptions. The department atmosphere is quiet, friendly, and collaborative but hardworking.
