Job Title: Acute Psych CNA

At Saint John Hospital, Inc., we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Behavioral Health team. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to individuals with mental health and behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
  • Provide support during group therapy sessions, recreational activities, and other treatment programs.
  • Encourage patients to participate in their care plan and assist them in identifying and expressing their needs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by assisting with housekeeping tasks and ensuring proper storage of medical supplies.
  • Document patient care activities, observations, and interventions in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Participate in mandatory in-service training programs to maintain certification and stay current on best practices in behavioral health care.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Qualifications:
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
  • Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
  • Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Minimum six months' previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
