POSITION OVERVIEW:

Carmen Schools operates five distinct campuses, each functioning as an independent charter school authorized by local educational authorities:

  • Carmen High School of Science and Technology, South

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement engaging learning experiences, interventions, and enrichment activities that uphold the academic rigor expected in a college-preparatory institution.
  • Maintain high standards for academic, behavioral, and social achievement for both themselves and their students.
  • Understand and adhere to all Wisconsin DPI teacher standards.
  • Collaborate with an Instructional Coach to enhance teaching practices aimed at improving the achievement of traditionally underserved students.
  • Utilize best practices in pedagogy and classroom management.
  • Foster a culture of learning, respect, trust, and responsibility.
  • Build strong relationships with students and their families, actively involving parents in the educational process.
  • Analyze student data to develop individualized learning plans and set team goals.
  • Integrate technology into daily instructional practices.
  • Embrace feedback from the educational community to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of grades and assignments, updating systems regularly.
  • Communicate effectively with students and families on a daily basis.
  • Ensure student safety through effective supervision.
  • Support the mission, vision, and values of Carmen Schools of Science and Technology.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures established by Carmen Schools.
  • Possess and maintain a current Wisconsin Teacher License or equivalent in all subject areas taught.
